When most people think of cultural London, they think of Brick Lane, so we headed down to the Shoreditch hub to have a look last weekend. It's safe to say that the place lives us to the reputation.

Initially, the plan was to stick around the area for maybe an hour or so and then move on, but you quickly become hypnotised by your surroundings and we ended up spending the best part of a full day there. It's hard to drag yourself away from!

Particularly down the side streets around Brick Lane and indeed on the street itself, there is an absolute abundance of stunning street art. It ranges in style, form and meaning, but the vast majority of it is hugely intriguing, and the haul is pretty much endless.

After about four hours of photo taking around the area, we realised that we couldn't just lump every snap we'd taken of the street art into one gallery and put it on the site, so we've broken the pieces down into categories - starting with artwork involving animals!

Take a look below and you'll start to get a sense of what we're talking about. The colours, styles and details vary infinitely and form a truly awesome part of town. We'll be back with more galleries from the area focusing on other topics in the not to distant future!
