I loved this book! It's a progression of Kate Tempest's album 'Everyone Down', with the same narrative developed further and the chapters sharing names with the names of the songs from the album tracklist. If you like the album, you'll love the book. Really cool format and really original narrative. I found the language was a bit too lyrical or poetic at times in longer descriptions, in character back-stories in particular, but elsewhere the poetic style was some of my favourite writing in the novel. It reminded me of Eimear McBride in that way (but easier to follow). Really engaging and hard to put down. Great depiction of modern London. And I liked listening to the album track of the same name everytime I finished a chapter. So impressed with everything Kate Tempest does!
